things to check before you call

Check all cable connections for any that may have worked themselves loose
Check to see if your pc has not powered itself off because of a power surge
Is your monitor turned on?

Helpful "tech" Terms

Modem: the box that connects your phone line to your pc
Server: A host computer that delivers files and web pages.
Re-boot: shutting off your computer to restart
Hard drive: the disk in your pc that contains all the data on your computer
